Ljubljana, July 15, 2025 – The management of Slovenski državni holding, d. d., acting as the assembly of SiDG, approved on July 15, 2025, that SiDG would make an additional contribution to Snežnik of up to 25 million euros for the implementation of the investment in the Snežnik Sawmill. At the same time, the assembly approved that SiDG would issue a guarantee for Snežnik’s obligations for loans that Snežnik will take to finance the sawmill investment, also up to a maximum of 25 million euros.

The assembly concluded that the purpose and objectives of the investment are in line with the SiDG d. o. o. 2024–2028 strategic plan, which foresees the restructuring of the subsidiary Snežnik d. o. o. (now Fagus Slovenica d. o. o.), increasing the capacity for processing beech logs, improving production efficiency using the latest technology, optimizing production and maintenance costs, meeting environmental standards by integrating a heating plant with electricity cogeneration, and considering the use of renewable energy sources and the necessity of a green transition.
