Kočevje, March 2, 2023 – At the beginning of 2023, we celebrated the honorable 70th anniversary of our company. The central event was a ceremony at the Kočevje Cultural Center. The anniversary celebrations were attended by customers and other business partners, as well as several former directors, whom management especially thanked for their contributions to the company’s development. Guests departed in an optimistic atmosphere, as the management announced investments in the company’s restructuring, an important employer in the Kočevje region, which was also welcomed by the Mayor of Kočevje, Dr. Vladimir Prebilič.

SiDG’s CEO, Mag. Marko Matjašič, noted that in recent years, the wood industry has seen significant investments that have allowed companies to survive in a competitive market, while Snežnik had remained stagnant. Many companies have since failed, while new, mostly small and medium family-owned companies have emerged and are successful, with SiDG as an important business partner. “As the owner, we will take all necessary actions to restructure Snežnik. We promise our business partners that we will continue to develop the company, and we assure employees that the company will be technologically and operationally modernized.”

The relaxed part of the celebration was opened by Prifarci, who are also celebrating an important anniversary this year – the 35th anniversary of the group. Their performance and energy impressed even the guests from abroad.
